From Kailua-Kona Airport (a scenic 2.5 hour drive): From Hilo International Airport (approximately 25 minutes):


  • RIGHT on AIRPORT RD.
  • LEFT on HIGHWAY 11 (KANOELEHUA AVE / HAWAII BELT RD)
  • LEFT on KEAAU PAHOA BYPASS RD / HIGHWAY 130 SOUTH
  • Continue on Hwy 130 for a little more than 13 miles
  • Look for MILE MARKER 13 and approximately 1/4 of a mile past the marker, TURN LEFT onto LEILANI AVE (look for the Leilani Estates sign on the lava rock wall)
  • Continue on LEILANI AVE approximately 2.5 miles
  • LEFT on HOOKUPU STREET
  • Ohia House is approximately 3/4 of a mile down on your RIGHT
  • Look for our blue Ohia House sign, turn right into the driveway
  • PARK in front of the house, you will see the PINEAPPLE parking sign.
  • RIGHT on Hwy 19 heading south (toward Kona/Captain Cook)
  • LEFT on HINA LANI STREET (near MILE MARKER 96)
  • LEFT on Hwy 190 (approximately three miles up the hill)
  • Continue toward Waimea, and once in Waimea HIGHWAY 190 will turn into HIGHWAY 19. Continue on this road toward Hilo
  • In Hilo, transition onto HIGHWAY 11. Follow signage toward Volacanoes National Park/Keaau
  • LEFT on KEAAU PAHOA BYPASS RD / HIGHWAY 130 SOUTH
  • Look for MILE MARKER 13 and approximately 1/4 of a mile past the marker, TURN LEFT onto LEILANI AVE (look for the Leilani Estates sign on the lava rock wall)
  • Continue on LEILANI AVE approximately 2.5 miles
  • LEFT on HOOKUPU STREET
  • Ohia House is approximately 3/4 of a mile down on your RIGHT
  • Look for our blue Ohia House sign, turn right into the driveway
  • PARK in front of the house, you will see the PINEAPPLE parking sign
